I do not condemn my people who choose to identify with religious stories, indigenous western cultures, etc. My contention remains, that we Diasporans (Livasporans), who were and are largely white-washed of our original cultures due to the Slave Trade/ Slavery/ and Colonialism... should never posture ourselves as definitively declaring, without exact certainty, that we are descendants of those Afrikans who were brought here as Slaves and Chattle. There is no shame in our history, the shame is not ours to bear, I only see perseverance, strength, and resiliency within my Ancestors who both died from and survived through those atrocities... Our heritages from Afrika are beautiful within their diversities. We are a beautiful people. We are Afrikan....We are Afrikan... Unapologetically.
